You know that feeling you get when you arrive to a vacation destination and it looks nothing like the pictures you saw online. It's a huge let down! Well, when my daughter and I arrived at Yosemite a few years ago we were speechless. We were amazed with it's breathtaking views of the granite cliffs and vast unspoiled alpine wilderness.
Is this Heaven
I hope heaven looks like this because I will be a happy camper. The crystal clear water in the lakes and Merced River were spectacular. The granite walls that surround the park dominate the valley and leave you in awe and questioning how anything could be so beautiful!
After walking through Mariposa Grove, the sequoia trees make you feel like you on another planet. Some of these massive giants are over 300 feet tall and 3000 years old!
Located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, 70 miles from Merced California the park has over 750 miles of trails with some of the best views on the planet. We hike about 40 miles of them and found postcard views in every direction.
Carved by Nature
Thousands of years ago massive glaciers carved through Yosemite leaving polished granite slopes, breathtaking lakes and cascading waterfalls. Yosemite may be one of the most gorgeous places in the world.
Always Better Together
There is really something special about spending time with your adult daughter. It is even more special when you get to do it in one of the most beautiful places on earth! The smiles on our faces never seemed to go away on our trip.
